*We are excited to welcome three new Artists*

AXIS DANCE COMPANY

AXIS Dance Company exists to change the face of dance and disability. We accomplish this through our artistry, education and advocacy programs. Under the

Artistic Direction of internationally renowned choreographer Marc Brew, AXIS is breaking new artistic ground starting with a newly commissioned work by highly-acclaimed choreographer Arthur Pita and the launch our first Choreo-Lab program, designed to support, mentor and advance the artistry of disabled choreographers.

"AXIS' work instructs the viewer in how to appreciate it, and the lesson is delivered with cogent force: Sympathy is irrelevant. Forget what isn't here, and pay attention to what is."- Bruce Weber, The New York Times

ACROBATIC CONUNDRUM

Acrobatic Conundrum creates technically rigorous, ensemble-based circus shows that seek to contribute to a more courageous and connected world.

Acrobatic Conundrum, Seattle's premier contemporary circus arts company, creates performances that amaze and inspire audiences. Founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Terry Crane, the company blends virtuosic circus skill, dance and physical theater to create work that is poetic, a little absurd, and deeply relatable. Acrobatic Conundrum has appeared nationally and internationally at such venues as New York City's SummerStage, the Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Vancouver CircusFest, TEDxRainier, and The Backstreet Festival in Alexandria, Egypt.

CITADEL+COMPAGNIE

Citadel + Compagnie is an award-winning Toronto-based professional dance organization that creates, produces and presents works on local, national and international scales from its home base in a former Salvation Army Citadel in Regent Park. Since 2007, C+C has renovated, revamped and transformed The Citadel into a place where artists rehearse, create and perform and where the community learns, explores and shares.

Led by artistic director, Laurence Lemieux, C+C's repertoire is intimate and emotionally honest productions and features some of Canada's greatest dancers and choreographers.
