World-class vocalist, Perla Batalla is a full-throated songstress who has worked with Leonard Cohen, k.d.lang, Nick Cave and Laurie Anderson. An advocate for music education and advancing social justice through music, Perla is a multiple-award winning performer and recording artist, set to tour throughout Europe in Summer '22

Theatrix

Mixed eMotion Theatrix combines music, dance, theater, and multi-media to create hybrid performance experiences in live theater. MeMT’s work has been presented worldwide including at the Avignon Festival, Paris’ La Nouvelle Eve vintage cabaret and opened the International Theatre Festival in Casablanca, Morocco. It recently completed a California tour of its community engagement work, So Now You Know. It will be presenting Gatsby Redux, inspired by The Great Gatsby, in various theaters, arts centers and vintage mansions in
Spring ’21.

The Company actively embraces and commissions the work of contemporary choreographers, tours worldwide, and develops dynamic education and community outreach programming. Through performance and educational undertakings, the Company pursues its mission to make dance a viable part of everyone’s life– whether it be as creators, performers, dance educators, critics, or as participating audience members. Over the 53 years of its history, Ririe-Woodbury has toured nationally and internationally, always advocating the philosophy that “dance is for everybody.”
