FLYAWAY PRODUCTIONS just presented at APAP’s UPNEXT event in New York, and just hosted TALK.DANCE.CAKE- an evening of conversation about gender and power in the Bay Area dance community. The Wait Room tours to the Boom Arts Festival in Portland, OR on June 26-28th. Part 2 of the Decarcation Trilogy — Meet Us Quickly With Your Mercy— premieres October 9-17, 2020 in San Francisco. Mercy is a public art project that asks the question, “How can Black and Jewish Voices amplify the call for racial justice via an end to mass incarceration?”

The wheels are turning and gaining momentum as AXIS DANCE COMPANY is touring the U.S. and had much fun in Holland and Switzerland. They will present their annual Dance Access Day & Family Matinee in April in Oakland, CA, showcasing the beauty of dance and disability. They are currently offering in-ter-twine, a triple bill featuring works by works by Jennifer Archibald, Robert Dekkers and Arthur Pita. Join a block in the fall and onward.

PACIFICO DANCE COMPANY sparks up the new year with three current works inspired by the Jarocho, Oaxaqueno and Yaki Indians. The three suites will be debuted at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater, Summer of 2020! A Western blockis in process for Latin Heritage month this fall. Day of the Dead is still available.

The Live Creature & Ethereal Things returned to RIRIE-WOODBURY DANCE COMPANY’S winter season at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Salt Lake City, UT. This vibrant production features storytelling in English and Spanish; original music, lyrics, script, costumes and choreography; tours easily; and is appropriate for the all ages. All rep is touring in 20/21 and NIKOLAIS DANCE THEATRE is available for 21/22 touring.

MIXED eMOTION THEATRIX has a busy Spring! They are currently prepping their community based storytelling/dance show SO NOW YOU KNOW for their California tour in March. In May and September they are presenting their site specific work based on The Great Gatsby, GATSBY REDUX, at two vintage sites, the Brand Library and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. The company is developing a work based on Hans Christian Andersen’s THE SHADOW, that includes dance, vocals, shadow play and puppetry and is in the finals for a Residency through the Jerome Robbins Foundation. Also, touring ANAIS NIN: UNBOUND through 2022.
