This season's virtual concert, Cadence, features a dynamic trio of works by choreographers Yin Yue, Charles O. Anderson, and Andrea Miller. It will be available for streaming online through May 22nd. |
PERLA BATALLA
Perla has been busy with many virtual performances, both live and pre-recorded Next up is June 1 for San Diego Repertory, then June 6 with William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum. Block dates are being sought the west for early November. |
GATSBY REDUX
The full site specific work of Gatsby Redux will be performed live on June 24 at the Muckenthaler Center. If you are unable to join in the revelries, there will be a two week long stream of Gatsby Redux at the Brand Library, starting June 26! |

AXIS DANCE COMPANY launched their 2021 Virtual Choreo-Lab for disabled choreographers, as they prepare for their renowned Summer Intensive and develop new works by Artistic Director Marc Brew and Pina Bausch Fellow, NEVE Mazique-Bianco for their in person 2021 Home Season. Check out their new Virtual assembly program
BACKHAUSDANCE is collaborating with Sherman Library and Gardens, Newport Beach, CA, to present a residency and site-specific performance on October 16, 2021, immersed in the outdoor autumn botanical habitat. Available for bookings through 22/23!
GARTH FAGAN DANCE's archive will now be housed at the Library of Congress! The Library's mission to preserve and provide access to a rich, diverse and enduring source of knowledge now includes The Garth Fagan Dance Archive. It will inform, inspire and engage viewers, as well as support their intellectual and creative endeavors.
PACIFICO DANCE COMPANY has an exciting new program and new costuming. Join a west coast block in February/March 2022, and stay tuned for more block opportunities as things re-open.
STATE STREET BALLET is enthusiastically planning a full season of performances for 2021/22, including world premiere collaborations and statewide tours in eager anticipation of a return to the stages and audiences they love. Discounted engagements with The Jungle Book are available in the northwest and west in March and April of 2022. |
ADAAWE is busy in the studio with producer Curtis Wilson recording vibrant new music for an upcoming EP release in 2021! They are available live beginning July 1, 2021.
ARTES LATINAS ENSEMBLES Calle Sur is celebrating its 20th year with the virtual release of its newest album, "CancĂșn," an exciting mix of traditional and original Latin pieces with jazz piano. Join them live on May 23rd at 2pm CST.
BLUES IS A WOMAN's Pamela Rose has been busy with livestream concerts, most recently at the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society to celebrate great women in blues & jazz in honor of Women's History Month! Join their NW Block next February/March, 2022.
EL VEZ will start touring again this August. Block dates are available nationwide in the fall of 2021. Robert Lopez's The Unhappy Hour is also an option to open the engagement.
JOSELYN & DON This Americana duo are preparing new livestream (and maybe some live!) shows for Summer 2021 while they record new music for a follow up EP to their well-received full album release, "Soar." VAL VIGODA is working on three new musicals: one sci-fi, one high school, one military...all three fun and uplifting. More details soon!
YUVAL RON ENSEMBLE had a successful sold out concert at University of Florida, Gainesville, their first live engagement since the pandemic started!

AN EVENING WITH GEORGE CHAKIRIS George is available for interview engagements alongside screenings of the original 1961 film, West Side Story, and for interviews about Steven Spielberg's new release of West Side Story (coming December 2021). He is free for last minute fill in dates in late October and early November.
Along with Gatsby Redux, MIXED EMOTION THEATRIX offers So Now You Know, (looking for fill-in dates in California for February of 2022).
